Developed in the Google UX course, adapted from hot-desk behavior to restaurant and table booking. Scope: advance booking, pre-order, notifications, and mobile-first clarity over feature density. The design question: how might users choose seats and complete booking with confidence, the outcome: less hesitation and more predictable decisions for first-time users.
- User tension
- Users needed confidence in choosing seats quickly in unfamiliar restaurants and workspaces.
- Design focus
- I prioritized seat clarity and booking confidence over feature breadth in the first iteration.
- Outcome
- The final flow reduced uncertainty and made reservation behavior feel predictable.
